  • Ohayo~

    Good morning! My personal best - 19 hours of sleep.  Been feeling really tired recently due to my cough and flu and haven't been able to do anything productive for the past week, damn! That's why i dread getting sick, anyway it's 7.45am in the morning and i'm feeling pumped up and ready to go. 

    Melbourne trip was great! Will post the photos up soon but in the mean time, just a summary of what i've done there.

    Day 1: Arrived in Avalon airport at about 10am in the morning, got our car (which was upgraded to a Toyata Camry WhEEE!!!) and headed to Melbourne city for check-in.  Headed off for lunch in the city circle tram (which is the only tram that is F.O.C) and we had indonesian.  That was when my sore throat started to develop.. *greedy me*, then headed to the tourist information centre where we picked up loads of brochures to decide where we wanted to go on our next few days.  Had buffet at Crown Casino for dinner and it only cost $17.95. Cheap cheap, plus the Portuguese Egg Tarts there were fab!!! 

    Day 2: Headed off to St Kilda for Brunch.  St Kilda's famous for their cakes and pastries.  Shopped a little and drove 3 hours up to Philips Island for the Penguin March.  Stopped by at a farm for teabreak on the way and saw many farm animals.  My fav are the sheep!  Really cute!!  Then we saw the milk man milking all the cows, (btw, the milkman is pretty hot - and i was thinking about the scene in sex in the city where samantha got hooked up with a hot milkman).. hahahhaa.. 

    Day 3: Free and Easy Day + Phantom of the Opera.  Just realized that P.O.T.O in Melbourne featured the Australian Cast and not the World Tour Cast.... Disappointed.. But the show was really great, but i did fell asleep for a tinny little while.. mabbe because of the medicine lah.. anywayx, it appears that the lead christine for the australian cast is actually the alternate christine in the world tour cast.  Some of the casts are the same, but phantom is different!!!! :( Had dinner at a famous thai restaurant in chinatown and had Kokoblack for dessert.  Yummy chocolates! Went clubbing and casino at night and there was this one game me and cy thought was really lame, but i managed to win back what i lost at the 3 card poker on that game.  And the game was...  see who's cards are bigger.  Dealer deals one card each to every player.  As long as your card is bigger than the dealer, you win.  Min bet is $10. Easy eh! hahaha.. and i happen to be really lucky.  Biggest card is Ace and smallest is 2 lah.  There were a few times i got 2 and 3s and so happen dealer got 2 and 3 as well, so it was a tie, and we get to double up and battle to see who gets a bigger number the next round, and of course, i had the bigger card. 

    Day 4: Hot spring at Peninsula.  One hour drive from Melbourne.  Relaxing day and went back to St Kilda's to get cakes for souvenirs.  Had the famous burger and returned to the airport. 

    That's about it for Melbourne. 

    Mid-Sem exams these 2 weeks.. Pray for me.........

    PS: My bed is evil.... it never fails to induce me to sleep every time i lie on it...
