The blogging feeling is back!
Wonder if anybody still visits my blog… If there is, good news for you, cause my blogging mood is back! Well it began with boredom at about 2am this morning that i decided to visit my long-forgotten blog on my iphone. And when i’m on it, i couldn’t stop reading as each individual posts brought me the memories that was already chucked to one corner of my brain. Only then i realised how meaningful these posts were to me.
Updates Updates!!
I just got back from Taiwan – 11.6.10 – 18.6.10. A “honeymoon trip” with Hubby! Yesh.. we have been together for about 4 and a half years now. It was really a break from work because auditing is really mentally draining, you feel like work is never ending… The minute you step into office at 9am in the morning.. you work till 8-10pm at night, and when you come home.. you shower, sleep, and the same thing again the next day! ROAR.. i wonder how long i can tolerate this.
Anyway… Day 1: Arrival in Taiwan
I hailed for a cab from my place and headed towards Sengkang to pick hubby up. Then we proceeded to the airport. We arrived quite early cause i wanted to do some duty-free shopping. (He promised to get me a new burberry bag for my birthday) And so, we were browsing through the branded shops at the airport. I saw the one i liked, the black and grey check lowry bag but somehow when i carried it, it kinda looked bulky. Plus the choices at the airport was limited, so we decided to just look and see.. Maybe Taiwan has better selections.
The jetstar plane we’re taking to Taiwan. I must say, the plane journey was torturous. It’s 4 hour plus in a freakin cramped up seat, with no TV and no food. I swear to myself, the next time if i’m taking anything more than 3 hours i cannot take budget airlines. By the time we arrived it was about 7pm local time. Then we headed straight to our hotel – 明日大饭店 recommended by Joelle which was about 1 hr away from the airport.
Dinner at Xi Men Ding. Look at the orangy thing, that’s O-Lua! Yummy, their oyster omelette came with this special tomato looking sweet sauce. I was eating fish-ball noodles and hubby with his lu-Rou fan~
Cam-Whoring in the room before we sleep…Day 2: My birthday
Hubby planned the itinerary for the day as he said he wanted to give me a surprise. We woke up pretty late, at about 10+ and only left the hotel at around 11am. Then we had breakfast around the area before heading the to subway station.
Then off to Bei Tou we went for my pleasant birthday surprise! It’s about 30 – 45 min away from the our hotel and we went there to check out the famous for its hot springs. They have the public ones as well as the private ones but OBVIOUSLY since i’m the princess for the day, we had to go to a private one in the hotel itself. Plus – i didn’t even bring any swimsuit to begin with, so public is OUT!
This was taken at Beitou station itself. The babies looked kinda cute though, climbing all over the place.
Disadvantages of travelling in pairs.
Shots along the way… and me walking into the hot spring hotel. NT 1,350 for 2 hours, quite cheap, room is very nice also. After a revitalising hot spring, we headed off to Dan Shui Lao Jie, which was at the end of the subway line.
That gu-eee beancurd thing is called <Ah-Ge>, seems very famous in Dan Shui. Don’t really like the taste though.Weather wasn’t too fantastic, it started off with a small drizzle, then it poured heavier, thus bby and i decided to have a drink at starbucks.
Taken at the 4th level from starbucks.
The Emo shots. This bloody starbucks sucked. Because it had so many levels in it. And because it was raining, it felt like the whole Dan Shui was in it. So when we entered, Hubby and I founded a seat at the 4th level. Then one of us had to go all the way down to the counter at level 1 to get our beverages – which was me in the end since i lost, then i had to carry all the drinks up to the 4th level again. Panting… Other than that, the view was great. Hahahahaha.. After that, we walked along the lao jie and we spotted this:
Kinda reminded us of Naruto cause “Ninja” mah. But not cute.Next Stop: Fisherman’s Wharf – Top Romantic Place in Taipei for Lovers.
PS: I will continue to update my Taiwan trip when i’m free wor~! hehe.
