    Delivery was so bad yesterday karn and i just wanted to find a hole to hid into.  We were on the road for almost an hour looking for one person's address, and the worse thing was, we even had a gps with us and it gave us a WRONG ADDRESS!  Turns out that, because pacific highway is a long stretch, the numbers on the gps does not correspond with the number on the hand-held map.  ?????  And there was this other driver yesterday, Peter, who was so good with roads he did not need a map nor gps.  DUH~ The thing was, when we finally found the place, the shop asked us to go back because they have already prepared another order which was re-cooked. (since the food we had had already turned cold by then), and made Peter send it there instead of us, straight at our face. 

    Anyway, things haven't been really good this week, boss kinda scolded me on thurs as well, and bby's moved to the new place already.. and yada yada yada.. but one thing is good, step is back!! Yippee~!~ Just to do one subject she couldn't get waiver for, so wasted lah, or else she would have graduated.

  • What should i do?

    Been thinking alot about my future nowadays, and it was triggered by the IELTS test.  But everything is very uncertain so i really don't know what to do.  So 2 days ago i called home, Dad picked up the phone, and i just started with, "Hi Daddy, can i talk to you about my future?"  I bet my Dad was a little stunned lah, at first he answered with the speaker phone, and when he heard me saying that, he switched it to the handset, but later decided to switch it back to the speaker phone again so that my mom gets to discuss it with me as well.  But anyway, conclusion is, i will take my IELTS test first, since it will be valid for the next 2 years, and see how it goes as to whether i should apply for my PR here.  And PR is not cheap ok.. it's about 5k.  Freakin ex, so unless i'm sure i can get one, i better not apply yet and waste the money.  I seriously pray hard that some accg company hires me and hopefully sponsor me for my PR, the my troubles are over.

    Oooh, guess what?  Cy brought Bengawan Solo back from Singapore, and mooncakes from Malaysia!!!! That's probably the best thing he has ever done.  The kueys.. almost finished already, and KUEY LAPIS!!! YUM X 1000000.  Don't ask why the custom didn't confiscate them, i'm so glad they didn't by the way, hahhaha...

  • First day of work, waitressing work again.

    Don't ask me why i am back to waitressing, when one is poor, she is willing to do anything to earn $, so that pretty much rounds up why i am doing it.  This time, a malaysian restaurant totally different from the singaporean eatery i was working in my first year. The top 5 differences: 1.Bigger 2.More work to do and no time to rest 3.More customers 4.Good food 5.TIPS!  All right, i was supposed to report to work at 10am this morning, but being the punctual me, since first impression counts ma, i arrived at 9.30am (stupid bus also lah, come so early for what), and decided to wait at a nearby MacD to about 9.50am before i proceeded into the restaurant. (PS: The boss only arrived at that time also lor)  Anyways, job scope requires washing of toilets, vacuuming and mopping the floors, setting the tables for lunch and dinner, taking orders, serving, clearing of tables and washing non-oily stuff.  Believe me, i was worn-out man.  Been a long time since i did such vigorous chores.  Damn it, and those plates weigh a ton man.  Admire those waitresses who can carry like 3 big plates at once in those western restaurants.  Speaking of western, i do feel like eating fish and chips all of a sudden.  Yeah, that's about it today, met a few people also studying in Macquarie Uni, but they're all doing their masters.  My parents would probably kill me if they hear i'm back to this job.  So shhhhhh~

    Hubbytron cooked fried rice for me tonight.  I like going to work again, i feel like a queen when i come back.  Massages, TLC, everything, hahahaha.  He will move again soon.. only now someplace much much further that i can't walk over to look for him anytime i want anymore. :(

    Classes tomorrow again.  Sian 1/2.  Don't know why my mood for school is not back yet..

  • End of July already?

    Can u believe it? One month of holidays just passed like that.  One part of me wants to go back to school badly but another part of me wishes that the holidays can just go on forever.  It's my last semester already, and lately i've been thinking.. what have i achieved in the past 2 years here?  Frankly speaking, i'm pretty excited and scared of what is awaiting ahead.. working life... how is it going to be?  Will i be slogging my life away in a office?  Or will i actually enjoy accounting work?  My ultimate aim is to be a tai-tai, and i'm going to work hard towards that aim lah. 

    Anyway, remember i said something about learning japanese?  Well yeah, it's really basic japanese and i feel like i'm a kindergarten jap student now, learning everything from scratch.  I revised hiragana last night, and this morning when i woke up, some of the words remained in my head, but i can't seem to allocate a sound to it.  So shitty.. I feel like i've gone back to primary school where granny used to make me write a word ten times, or at least until i remember it, and give me 听写 after that.  Which got me thinking again, how the hell did we manage to remember so many chinese characters over the years, suddenly felt so proud of myself!  Haha.. it's probably easier to learn a language when we are young, but i believe my interest in the language will foster my learning speed.  Gambatte mas!

    First lesson:
    Hajimemashite.
    Watashi wa joyce desu.
    dozo yoroshiku.
    Haha.. this was what we learnt in the first lesson.  Bet everybody knows what that means.
    And i finally know when and how to use 'san', 'kun' and 'chan', cause i was confused in naruto why san can be used sometimes.. and other times they use chan.. so how the hell do we know when to use what?  Ok basically 'san' is for 'mr', 'miss', 'mrs', the more polite way to address a person.  'Kun' is used for little boys and 'chan' is used for little girls.  But for example, if A and B (both girls) grew up together since young, and they have been calling each other A chan and B chan since they were kids, even when they are 50 years old, it's okay for them to keep calling each other A chan and B chan.  Yap, basically that's the idea.  So that's why we hear alot of 'Naruto Kun' and 'Sakura chan' in the anime.

    All right, my cairns trip. 

    Day 1:
    Arrived Cairns at about 6.30pm in the evening and headed to Bohemia Resort, the accommodation i would be staying at.  Well.. first impression was.. good airport shuttle service.. but when we arrived there.. disappointed.  No high class chandeliers, no bellboys, just a simple reception desk with ceiling fans.  But well, what do you expect when you are only paying $65 a night.  Anyway.. who cares about the reception, more important is the rooms we were allocated to. 
    After we got the key from the reception, we headed to our room.  Shit, corridors that looked like the ones i had in old school, shared toilets like the ones we went for camping trips.. yap, it's an old school backpackers accommodation.  ARGH!!!! I was super pissed that my room didn't have a ensuite, apparently i misunderstood something when i did the booking.  I felt so sorry to K as she didn't deserve this.. however, it was me who was more affected by it than her. 
    Anywayx, we went out for our dinner and went to Cairns Night Market.  Had crocodile and kangaroo meat for dinner, somehow.. they taste like chicken.  Then massage and back to the resort to Zzz.

    Day 2:
    Snorkelling and Scuba Diving at Upolu Reef.  The best day at Cairns!!! Fully equipped with underwater cameras, bby's 7 mega pixel camera, sunscreen lotion, towels... etc.. I saw a small shark and a turtle!! And the best thing was that i could touch the living organisms at the great barrier reef while scuba diving! So exciting~!~ Shall upload photos when i develop the film though.. anyway, if you guyz do wanna go to Cairns, i do advice those 4 day scubu diving trips because that's probably the only things interesting to do there.  Cairns is a boring place (yes i agree with you Joelle), it's so small it only has a population of about 120,000.  Faintx.. and the city is so small we probably finished walking the main areas in less than 2 days.  Anyway, it was an unforgettable experience and during the journey back, i vomited twice!  Woodfired pizza and wedges for dinner. 

    Day 3:
    Day trip to some rainforest i can't remember the name.  Took the scenic railway up and took the cable car down.  It was so boring the both of us wanted to go back so badly.  Had japanese food for dinner and the kitchen forgotten about K's order.  In the end, we had complimentary green tea ice cream and fruits, at least the service was good.  And the food is nice btw.  Went to the Reef Casino at night and won $12 on the blackjack table.  Spent it on massage again though.

    Day 4: 
    Final Day.. Can't wait to go home day.  Went shopping during the day after we checked out at 10am.  Left our bags at the resort.  Had Mexican food for lunch and came to a conclusion that taco and burritos are the best.  We miss Sydney.

    Haha.. anywayx, joined gym again last week and played badminton with bby at the gym today.  Pia-ed Witness to a Prosecution.. good stuff!! although it's already an old show. 
    Japanese lessons officially start tomorrow!! Can't wait!!
    Delivery again later.. I NEED A JOB SOON~!~... ah_joy is poor...
    Super lethargic now.. arms aching due to badminton.. think i'm going to take a rest.

  • Long awaited Hols~

    Will be going to Cairns tomorrow for 4 days!!! Till then.. jaa!!

    Suay suay suay.. what have i done to deserve this? My harddisk failed on me again, only this time, it's the big one.. not the portable one.. I'm freakin pissed, almost 150gb of data gone.. most of it are my precious videos.. :( I'm sad.. very very sad.. probably can't download those videos anymore since it's already so old. AND THEY ARE THE CLASSIC NICE ONES WHICH I KEPT... double :( ... ... ...
    Well of course, the good news is that it is still under warranty, so i'll probably get a new repaired one with all my data gone... ARGH~ But that's not the point, maybe they should try to charge data recovery services cheaper, so people like me won't live in agony.. THIS... HAS HAPPENED to me twice in a row, all in the same year.  I have again learned an important lesson, to back up.. double back up.. triple backup in a dvd disc.  They are more reliable definitely.  And got to make many many copies.

    Going to watch ocean's 13 later with bby.  Rain is here again.. (not the singer) and Karn is coming home tomorrow!~! Yippee..

  • Hubbytron and Babybot

    The whole new transformers - Hubbytron and Babybot.  If you haven't catch Transformers on the big screens, u better go watch it or else you'll be missing out a whole lot.  On a rating of 5, i'm going to give it all 5!! It's that good YES!  Initially when bby and company went to catch the movie on the opening night, i was so persistent in not following cause i wasn't a huge fan of transformers to begin with.  But when they returned after the movie, one by one they came into my room telling me the movie was so good, u have to watch it.. blah blah blah.. then my heart shaken, i felt that maybe i was really missing out on something good.  Then savior came, i was chit chatting with R and she too said the movie was really good and said she was willing to watch it again if i wanted to go. And there it is, i watched it with her on the cheap tuesday night and totally enjoyed it.  However i thought the sound was abit irritating. Haha..

    Has been 2 weeks ever since my paper ended, what has ah-joy done?
    Hmm.. ok.. ah-joy went to wollongong for a day trip on cy's b'day and ate peking duck for dinner.  Yum!
    Wollongong is about 2 hour journey from sydney, and we visited the biggest and famous temple in australia - Nan Tien Temple, btw, the vegetarian food there is really good!

    And we went to the famous blowhole point in Kiama.  And according to Wikipedia, a blowhole is a hole at the inland end of a sea cave through which waves funnel up and out, which basically describes what we saw.
     

    Hmm.. the next day was spent having a farewell lunch with steph at De-Malaya buffet, cause she's going back to indonesia for good already and... DFO shopping! DFO is basically this really big factory outlet in sydney whereby there are many different branded stuff under one roof.  Well again i told myself not to buy stuff, and i ended up spending almost 150 there, but july is sale month ma!!! haha.. got myself a new pair of converse, a summer dress, an esprit 3/4 pants, 2 sweattops for bby, and 2 big giordano umbrellas for the car.  Shall not flaunt my shopaholic skills since it's not something to be proud about but indeed i bought quite some stuff this month.  Ok, period. 

    Oh yah, Bby's laptop finally decided to die on him and good for him, he got a whole new laptop which is now ranked number 1 in our household.  Haha..

    Ooooo, guess what? I'm going to Cairns!! Not with bby, but with Karnni~ Well, basically K's sister came down from the states for a holiday, and both of them went travelling together all around Australia last Sunday - Melbourne, Brisbane, Goldcoast, Cairns then back to Sydney.  What happened was the 2 of them fell sick, and K's sister got so sick then she wanted to come back to Sydney straight.  So what happens to the Cairns ticket?  Now i enter the picture.  Well don't waste mah, and since i had always wanted to go there, so i've decided to take her place.  The initial plan was i go with R, but i think because it was really too sudden and it's not a really cheap trip to begin with, so she turned me down in the end.  So.. now the plan is i'll go with Karnni after her sister returns to the states!! And we'll go there for 4 days 3 nights.. And the best thing is.. I'll get to meet Cailin there!! YIPPPEEE!!! can't wait!!! I MISS YOU GIRL~!~ We have to go hang out and take loads and loads of pictures lah.  Hopefully our dates coincide though.  I'm planning to go on the 21st July, are u still there wor gal??  More updates soon leh..  Till then, JAA!!!
