To G*: I still remember it's your b'day today lah.

For privacy purposes, i have decided not to disclose the names of people on my blog, but prob. half the time you guys know who i am talking about anyway.  It suddenly struck me 2 days ago that it was the birthday of a good friend i have known since i was in primary school.  And surprisingly i remembered.  I called her all the way from sydney to america on my cell only to know that it was already 2am in the morning for her.  But lucky me, she wasn't asleep yet and i managed to be one of the first to wish her "happy b'day". (because US is about one day slower)  Anyway i had a great chat with her and she was pretty amazed i could remember her b'day as well.  And then the next day, on the 18th, i was pretty sure it was YL's b'day but i couldn't quite confirm it, so heck lah,  i just wished him anyway and boy! It really was his b'day.  Haha.. Seems like i have some kind of memory block somewhere.  Anyhow, to all babies born in May, Happy Birthday Ok! Like that i won't offend anybody.

Headed to Newtown (somewhere near the city) for a movie today.  One might wonder, why bother going so far when there's already a movie theatre 5 min away from my place.  No lah, you know the normal Australia theatres only bring in mostly english movies, probably the only foreign movies are the ones that hit the Hollywood box offices like "The Curse of the Golden Flower", which by the way, was a really bad show in my opinion, except that Gong Li was spectacular in it.  I finally got to see the shaking of the boobs and all i can say is that this show is basically about the vendetta between the members of the royal family.  The visual effect was really good, especially the part where the golden troops were trapped and massacred by the emperor's troops, after which the servants immediately cleared the dead bodies and and laid new pots of chrysanthemum back on the ground.  Really good! But overall, it was a disappointment considering the great cast and the famous director.  Oh, did i digressed a little? Haha.. anyway, we had to go all the way to Newtown to watch this Japanese Anime Movie <Tales from Earthsea> directed by Goro Miyazaki, the son of Hayao Miyazaki who won an oscar for Spirited away and directed Howl's Moving Castle.  What i can say is, the son is not as good as the father, but the talent is there.  Haha.. I couldn't really understand the movie today and it seemed like most of us walked out of the movie theatre feeling quite confused.  Maybe the director wanted to leave more space to the audiences for imagination?  I was thinking they should just show Naruto Movie or something, it would probably be more enjoyable.

Anyway, really need to go now, got to answer the call of nature badly!!!!
    Till next time, luv y'all!!!
