  • Today is going to be an interesting day for me, well.. my brother has invited the family to a morning tour at the goat's farm - Hmm, purpose is to get to know his business partners and their family members so that all of us get to bond with each other.  BUT WHY THE GOAT FARM!!! *faintx*  Anyways, i'm going to be optimistic about it so i will try to enjoy myself as much as possible.  After that, i have an important concert to attend! A concert that my friend produced from scratch and she's going to perform in it as well.  This concert is her *baby*, so as her friend, die die also must go support!! I'm thinking.. should i bring a banner?

As the time draws nearer for me to return to Syd, i'm starting to miss all the people and food here.  How i wish i could stay longer.. aww.. It's weird, when i was back the first few weeks, i just wanted to return to syd so badly.  Now that i have stayed for more than 2 months, i can't bear to leave.  That's why.. holidays back to singapore are evil~~!!!~~ Feel so sad that i have to leave... ... ...

Finally had this heart to heart with my dad.  All i can say is.. W! Everything went well~ Haha.. I'm sure it will get better~ Thanks girl~

  • Granny I Love You

Undying love, a gracious heart and my forever supporter, this person is my beloved grandma.  Ever since i was brought into this world, she has been there for me, taking care of me, bringing me up to who i am today.  She never allowed the maid to carry me when i was little, because she was afraid i might have their unique body odour.  Being a 2.5kg baby, i was considered smaller than the norm, so ever since, she has been feeding me more compared to my skinny brother to make sure i get all my nourishments, (okay can i blame her for being fat now?)  When i was a little older, she attended to all my needs - brought me to school, waited for the school bus with me, made food for me and showered me.  To me, ah ma was like another mother to me and i followed her wherever she went.  Recalling the teenage years, i was rebellious and ill-mannered.  Shouting and disobeying her were some of the terrible things i did.  Now that i think back, i could not believe i actually did all that, but ah ma was still the same ah ma, she tolerated my actions and was very patient with me.  But ah ma was not always patient, arguing with each other was sometimes a past-time we enjoyed together.  We shouted at each other, and made up really quickly.  Soon, it became like a bonding session for us to practice projecting our voices at each other.  When i was in my late secondary years, ah ma's rheumatism became really bad that she always complained how much she was in pain to me.  But i was never once willing to rub medicated oil for her, i felt forced.  But whenever i had my tummy aches or when i get sick, ah ma will always be there, rubbing my tummy as long as i want her to and made sure i took my medicine on time.  Until i left for Sydney, besides missing my friends and family, the person i missed most was my dear ah ma. The fall in 2005 made her wheel-chair bounded. Ever since, her condition deteriorated.  All the problems start to appear.  She was often admitted into hospital and i felt so helpless down under.  Only then i realized how important family is to me.  The ah ma now, is like a new-born baby who needs us to attend to her daily needs.  Now is the time for me to take over her role.  This woman below, is the noble woman i have been talking about.

On a lighter note, guess what my and my brother did today!

Haha, yep, i managed to squeeze myself into my luggage bag.

  • 3.17am

Sad eh? Still trying to 'repair' my blog and i realized that my blog looks different when you view it on internet explorer and on mozilla. It actually looks better in IE, so people, view it in IE from now on.  Well, at least at 3.19am in the morning, i have G to keep me company, even though half of what he says cannot be trusted, but heck, what can i expect from a guy whom i haven seen for more than 5 years! To think i had a crush on him back then. *oops*

Internet connection really sucks lah. Until i have to give up on using wireless and to lan cable, ok lah, it is a little faster now. At least it doesn't d/c every 5 min.  Met L earlier on for dinner. I go die i go die.. jolly well know i'm coughing liao still go and eat KFC... :( , until kena scolded by H.. Sorry lah.. i will go see a doctor tomorrow if my cough gets worse yah?

    Shoutout Time:

Kelly: All the best in your new job. Keep your options open, just try it out, see whether you like it. If you do, stay on! If not, just quit. No need confuse one ya?

  • New Layout

    Location: Ang Mo Kio

    Feeling: Bored

    Weather: Hot

    Ah Ma: Zzz, afternoon nap

Finally changed my blog layout after receiving complaints about my blog being so messy, tagboard can't tag.. etc. Seems like it has been rather problematic and i'm the only one who doesn't know about it. Well, the thing is, when i view my own blog, i see no problem with it lah, until recently so many people come telling me there's Actually something wrong with it.

A bit backslided in coming to see Ah Ma when she is on the top of my priority list in [things i must do when i am back in singapore], although there are other things like learning how to cook lah.. helping my brother with his company, which has just gone pte ltd on the 18/1/07.. [congrats congrats]... blah blah blah.  Just realized that my maid isn't treating my ah ma the way she should be. Can't exactly say she's ill-treating her, but all i can say is somebody needs to be at home - Together with her, in looking after ah ma, so that she doesn't do any monkey-business. And i will be the one since my aunty and uncle has to work and i'm the only free one in the afternoon. Ah ma has become so quiet ever since the fall. Remembered when i was young.. she was so talkative, and many of my friends felt intimidated by her loud voice. Now, she can't take liquid stuff because she might choke on it.  So if she needs to take water, we've gotta add thickener for her. And she sleeps almost the whole day, reckon she's really tired since she's already so old. Can't walk anymore, wheel-chair bounded, but we make an effort to bring her down for walks so that she doesn't feel so bored at home. But she's really happy seeing everybody, and that i'm really sure about. Although she doesn't says it out, but her expression just shows it all.  When i was chatting with her earlier, i told her, "Ah MA, wo yao bi ye le! deng wo duo yi nian hao ma?", my ah ma was like "hao!! wo yao kan ni bi ye!" and that, i will have my graduation ceremony back in singapore next year, so that everybody will be there to rejoice for me!

All right, wishing everybody a great day! Cheers~

  • Bangkok = Thumbs Up!

Yes yes, i know there are bombings but hey! I'm still alive and kicking man. Well, thank god nothing happened during my stay in bangkok and i certainly did have a fantastic time there. Visited loads of places, of course, all this wouldn't have happened without dearest karnni, so this post goes out to you!! Thanks for waking up early every morning to bring us around, and hope we weren't a nuisance!

    Day 1: Pattaya

Woke up at about 8.30 am in the morning. Put on my tankini, together with a spag top and beach shorts ready for Pattaya! Pattaya is about 2 hours away from Bangkok, so we hurried in Karnni's 7 seater jeep and started off the journey. We were honoured enough to have a personal driver = karnni's ex, so we can stop whenever we want to. Seafood lunch!! YUM~ first meal of the day, thumbs up!! Then we went to for go-kart and paintball. I didn't do the go-kart lah, felt it was a waste of money leh.. but all of us played paintball. PIANG, super tiring lah, run and squat, somemore dun dare to shoot, then hide like a bloody turtle behind those tyres. So 6 of us, split into 2 groups, 3-3.  Ok incase you don't know how the game goes.. each team has a base, so we've gonna discuss with our group members what kinda tactic we wanna use, defensive or offensive. Well aim is to shoot down the opponent and snatch their flag. In the end.. of course my team won lah. (yaya-face) Then we headed over to Pattaya beach. Keying and I jet-skiied.. super fun!! Cause i stood up as the bloody sea water was getting into my eyes. Finally we watched the cabaret show at night and had dinner at this super cozy place for free, courtesy of karrni's ex~ hahahha.. By the time we reached home, we were dead-beat.

Day 2: Floating Market + Puppet Show

This day was the ultimate, woke up at 5.30 in the morning, as we have to be at the intercontinental hotel at 6.30am to catch the tour bus to the floating market. About an hour away from bangkok and boy did we sleep on the mini bus. Super exhausted lah, slept less than 4 hours the previous night. Floating market was coool~!~ We get to sit on the sampan boats where we get rowed to the different stalls on the river. But the way they sell stuff is really interesting, they just stop your boat to sell you stuff. Food's great though. Then went to visit some wood place blah blah blah and headed back to bangkok.  At night, we went for thai massage. We thought the thai massage would help our aching knees from the paintball but instead it got worse! Nonetheless, the massage was damn good.  After which we went to watch the award winning traditional puppet show - The myth of Rahoo and the Lunar Eclips and ate the famous porridge somewhere in bangkok for dinner. That was when ky* nightmare began as she was down with diarrhoea the next day.

Day 3: Temple hopping~ plus night bazaar

Temple visiting day. Oakki joined us today and we saw the famous emerald jade buddha. We went no allowed to take photos though. Then we also saw the very huge buddha.  But the highlights were that we went up to a couple of korean guyz (one of them was damn cute lah) and took a picture with them.  Night bazaar at night, loads of stuff to shop around, shiok~

    Day 4: Ky's sick, CY's last day.

Visited the doctor in the morning. Ky ended up at home resting the entire day while K, Cy and I went out shopping at the nearby mall. Just to get some souvenirs before Cy returns on Sunday morning. Was supposed to go Chak-tu-chat market but cancelled it due to some false bomb alarm and at the same time ky was not feeling well lah.  Somehow we ended up watching <The Holiday> at the cinema, VERY GOOD, go watch go watch!! We had to stand up for a short clip of the King before the movie started to show our respect to the king though. That was something new. Haha.

    Day 5: Chak-tu-chat Market

Mentally and Physically draining. It was practically a sauna in there. And there are like 18 sections. That place is HUGE, never ever meet someone there!! U will never ever find them. Bought red-bull t-shirts for bby, okay, basically my shopping there was for him lah, didn't buy much stuff for myself also lah. SUPER HOT period. Then went out for dinner with k's family.

Day 6: Siam Square and Paragon.

Shopping day! shop and shop and shop.

    Day 7: Yippeee home!!

K's mother come knocking on K's door at 7am in the morning. Had breakfast before we left the house. 10 min before the cab came, i fell into this big hole in front of k's door. Bruises on both my legs, farking pain. Still hurts now leh!! Fun trip though, all of em are really nice people. Thanks!!

Ps: Pardon me for any spelling mistakes cause i got so tired typing all these..
